Areaware egy fiatalos designer csapat, New York, Brooklyn-ban. Ennek a csapatnak a tagja a svéd Clara von Zweigbergk, a Snake Block tervezője is.

Rubik által mi magyarok ezt a játékot már jól ismerjük :-), ez a kígyó tulajdonképpen ugyanazon az elven működik, csak fából készül.

24 darab fa háromszög van összefogva erős gumis madzaggal, rengeteg forma kirakható belőle. Fejleszti a logikai, motoros képességeket, és dekorációnak sem utolsó.

Ha jól vigyzunk rá, ez a játék még az unokáink játéka is lehet.

Areaware’s ‘SnakeBlocks Natural’ are a classic toy reinvented in wood and elastic. Twist and turn these blocks to create serpentine shapes, animals and geometric patterns. Snake Blocks – designed by Clara v. Zweigbergk for Areaware – are composed of 24 wooden triangles with an elastic band throughout.

Clara von Zweigbergk, born in Stockholm, graduated from Beckmans School of Design, Stockholm and continued studies at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, USA. After five years as a founder and partner in Rivieran, a Stockholm based multi-disciplinary design studio, followed by four years as a senior graphic designer at Lissoni Associati, Milano, she opened her studio in Stockholm, pursuing a great interest in paper, colour, typography and form. The projects range from visual identities, photo art direction and a growing series of products. Since 2010 von Zweigbergk has a close collaboration with HAY, where she has been forming the visual identity. She has designed Color Puzzle and Snake Blocks for Areaware, as well as products for HAY, Nike, Louis Poulsen, Artecnica and Moustache.
